Grim :Reaper's Redemption Series by Thea Atkinson

SYNOPSIS: Ayla doesn't believe in monsters. There are only bad people with bad intentions. But she does believe in helping someone in need. So when a text from a long lost friend flickers across her cell phone, asking to meet at the abandoned Gothic cathedral downtown, she can't resist answering the call.

Except her friend isn't there when she arrives. Instead there's a tattooed psychopath bent on making her his next ritualistically murdered victim.

That's when Ayla discovers that not only is she surrounded by monsters, but she is actually one of them.

MY REVIEW: 3 Stars
I volunteered to receive a digital advanced copy to read. This is my first Thea Atkinson story and I enjoyed it. I love Grim Reapers so that was a big draw for me and I was not disappointed.
I'm going to explain my cons about this story first. In the first few chapters I felt a thesaurus had been spilled out and every possible descriptive word and then some fell out and soaked into the pages, it was a little too much for me but it definitely lessened as the story progressed. And secondly there were a some grammatical errors which had me rereading at times and was slightly distracting.
Now that that's out of the way Grim is an easy to get into urban fantasy. I did end up enjoying Ayla's story. While she did act like a child a lot she sounds like most 17 year old I know. Atkinson creates a great take on Grim Reapers and I would like to see where the characters go from here.
